
Liz Freisen aims to bring childlike joy into a world of intimidating diagnoses.
She is interested in publishing stories for ages 0-18 that reduce stigma and spread joy.
Liz is motivated by the welfare of children and families and holds her Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State Univeristy. She has served on Marion County's Council to Prevent Child Abuse for 4 years and has taken Darkness To Light abuse prevention training. Liz wants to know and respect the gender identities and pronouns of all followers, authors, illustrators and fans. She supports the trans liberation movement, Black Lives Matter, and radical and systemic change towards a more equitable, healthy, and peaceful society.

Lina (she/her) is the artist for Big Talk Books website and social media.
She has been drawing since she was little. As she grew up, she drew more and more until the summer of 2016. She was diagnosed with high functioning depression and anxiety. That is when she launched her small business, Lina Mae Artistry. She expanded into watercolors and lettering, exploring her talents in a unique and fun way. She continues to paint and build her small business while advocating for mental health and ending stigma to mental illness. |
